We start just prior to the Invasion of Naboo.

one question though. What troops will the republic have before the invasion of naboo? and will the empire always become the galatic republic?

Zann's Consortium should be Empergent, it breaks of from the Hutt Criminal Empire.

Also, the Galactic Empire should rather be a revolutionaried Galactic Republic than an emergant faction...
Making it easier to fight 'till the end of the campaign with that faction, and still go by historical lines.

I think that you may add separate units for republics and absolute monarchies (empires)...

that's what I bloody meant, just with the fact that the factions are different because of the time stage. so...

The Republic era------Episode 2,3     ( You can do episode one for the naboo campaign, but in episode one the republic hasn't got clones yet )
The Empire era ---------- Episode 4 & 5 ( in 6 the empire perisishes, so that doesn't fit well. )
